They say that we can't pay the bills until we have a revolution, and we can't organize a revolution until we can pay the bills. If enough of us have each others backs in the places that make our life possible—the neighborhood, the home, the table—bills may no longer be an issue and we can actually have a revolution.

like, yeah, I don't _have_ to respond to every notification, but the problem is that all notifications have the same degree of...urgency. they pile up, shoving earlier notifications aside

engagement tends to be on or off on social media. there should be better ways

So hi! Could folks who are making jokes about Mark Zuckerberg please be aware that comparing him to a robot can be hurtful because

a) if he is autistic you are repeating the same tired old jokes about autistic people having no emotions just because you can't read our facial expressions, and

b) if he is not autistic then you are still doing that, and reminding autistic people of jokes people make about how we're evil/heartless - and at the same time you're comparing us to Mark Zuckerberg. Rude.

I'm threw away the wire frames I had scratched together because they were focusing on all the wrong parts, and I'm working on a clearer design doc.

I'm a queer feminist. I'm bisexual and I will fight for social justice, also and particularly for those who are less privileged than me. I know I'm not perfect, but I try to use my privileges for good.
I'm all for dialogue and I sometimes explain things, but don't take it for granted.
I sometimes struggle with queer feminist communities and discourse. Doesn't mean that the alternative is any better, so I'm trying to make the best out of it all.

I’m at peace with the fact that I’m non-binary; but perhaps later I’ll be a woman again, or not. It really doesn’t matter. You’re gonna face transmisogyny either way so you should focus on embracing whatever makes you feel the best about yourself regardless of its proximity to womanhood

Again, I’m a seasoned trans person. I’ve seen lotsa non-binary people who later identify as trans women

On any other social platform, this would be a disaster. The same thing happened to my friend group's TeamSpeak server, and we basically lost touch.
