@distelfliege ich shitposte, du shitpostes, er/sie shitpostet, wir shitposten? ich habe shitpostet?
@metapianycist ok I looked it up and I think "shitposting" is a great word for it!
I don't know if there's an internet word in german, but if you're "shittalking" you could say "scheisse labern"
du shitpostest, ich habe geshitpostet.
the rest was correct :D
@distelfliege i thought loan words don't get "ge" in the past participle?
@metapianycist ah.. but people in germany say "ich habe gepostet" whith "posting" being a loan word.. so I think that rule is outdatet.
can you give me an example where it doesn't get "ge-"? *thinking hard*
@distelfliege my brain is blanking on actual verbs but I learned that verbs that are loans from French don't get the ge- prefix?
@metapianycist ah, thanks, let me try to think of one..
@metapianycist ok I've got one! engagement/engagieren - "ich engagiere mich, ich habe mich engagiert"
in that case it's true!
but for english it seems it's not true.
@metapianycist but I'm curious if other german people come up with an existing #german word.
maybe it's just me having problems to think of one!
@distelfliege Google Translate sagt "Scheissposten"?
@metapianycist that could work, but I never heard someone actually call it "scheissposten"..
@metapianycist hihi, alle die ich kenne, sagen auch "shitposting".
but to be honest, I have not yet bothered to find out the real definition of "shitposting" so I don't even know if there is some equivalent in german.
