friends, queer.party has been updated to Mastodon 3.5.2. This brings:
- Better wording surrounding direct messages
- Multiple bug fixes and administrative improvements
queer.party's specific build of Mastodon now also includes:
- A message when registering which is not localised, which begs you to please write an actual reason when signing up and to write it in english
Pinafore, available at https://pinafore.queer.party, has been updated to 2.2.0 and now works a bit better on large screens.

@maffsie today i learned our instance hosts a pinafore frontend, switching immediately.
@jahtnamas yep, i set it up around when i upgraded to..i think 3.5.0 or 3.5.1, i forget exactly. it's been on my "to-do" list for like two years but never got around to it.
I'd like to offer other frontends as well but it's actually a little hard to find a list of what frontends are available for mastodon/activitypub that you can host independently as just a frontend for an existing mastodon instance.
As a reminder, when queer.party was updated to Mastodon 3.5.1, new functionality was introduced allowing you to write toots up to 2500 characters long, when using a content warning. This allows you to write more long-form content as you desire :3
