#Introductions tag, a bit more: I'm a #queer, #genderqueer, #polyam, #Christo-Pagan, #disabled #folk musician. In my late 30s, living in the UK East Midlands. I love mountains and the sea and cats and elephants and Tolkien and Bujold and "El Ministerio del Tiempo" and history podcasts and "Hamilton". I have a cute wheelchair that I need to decorate more. :-) I'm housebound annoyingly often. V much open to new followers. -)

I'm not a football fan, but S working as a steward for Rams matches has got me supporting Rams, and a dear friend being a passionate Scunthorpe fan has me surprisingly excited about the play-offs. :-) I love seeing friends excited and is so easy get into it whatever the thing is. :-)

So this story has a very and increasingly happy ending. But my Gods, it might not have done. As a keen amateur actor/readthroougher and semi-pro folk singer, telling someone (with no evidence, I note - I think he just *wanted* it to be the case, which is itself disgusting) they can't act or sing is a fast way to make me Very Very Angry Indeed.

There are a lot of things I find hard to forgive that [former close friend] has done. One in particular on my own behalf. But I think the thing I find hardest is how badly he treated one of my now closest friends when they were dating. Right now, especially that he told them they could not sing or act. (They can. Better even than him, and he's no slouch at either, and they've had less practice than he has. Which I intend to fix. ;-) )

Asthma still being really bad. I'm also in need of practising some songs to record. I won't sing *well* right now, but Asthma UK has a whole page on music-making and how useful it is for asthmatics for a reason, so here goes... :-)

(Very cheap hireable scooters at that, it's just that we're not really having spare moneys just now. ;-) )

OMG, some of the country parks in Derbyshire have hireable all-terrain mobility scooters. Once S has passed their driving test and we're in a bit of a better position financially... *SQUEEEEEEEE*

Cigarette smoke is one of my worst and most dangerous asthma triggers. And I spend a lot of time being angry with/scared of inconsiderate smokers. But I want to send a shout-out to the chap in my city today who was walking along smoking, saw me having an asthma attack, and quietly crossed over the road so as to keep well away from me, clearly trying (successfully!) to make sure he didn't make things worse. I hope he is having a lovely evening, whoever he is.

"Ice Wolves" by Amie Kaufman. First in a trilogy and the others aren't out yet, but no outright cliffhanger. I listened to a talking book version. Really good young adult fantasy. :-)

In happier news: the sunshine is good. Decent chance I'll make it to the park later. :-)

Oooooooof asthma attack last night. Pollen isn't usually one of my asthma triggers but there is so much of it at the moment that I think, plus our street is pretty polluted unless the wind's from one specific direction. And pollen + pollution seems to have turned my dust sensitivity really really...enthusiastic. :-/ Didn't need A&E, though we were at one point worried I would. Ventolin hangover now. Bah, frankly.

Aha, it's time to play the "is this an unusual-for-me chronic illness symptom, a Fluey Thing, or another potential sign that I might be hitting the perimenopause rather early?" game. Fluey Thing is currently winning as a theory but the uncertainty is annoying me rather a lot.

Ooh, yay, this young adult fantasy talking book is a) great, b) unless I am mistaken, has a non-binary character. :-)
