I think one of the hardest things for me has been to learn to accept that I, too, can make mistakes, and it isn’t the end of the world. People are generally a lot more forgiving than you’d expect, and people who aren’t probably aren’t worth dealing with.
(And this goes both ways. Forgiving others when they make mistakes is also 💯)
Really it all goes three ways: forgive others, realize you’ll be forgiven, and also forgive YOURSELF.
That’s been especially important while the world has been on fire.
