Oops I’m dumb and misremembered my geography
@fluffy happens to everyone! :)
@fluffy Seattle IS further north than Toronto, Quebec City and Montreal however which is also weird.
@mmsword yeah, those bits I actually knew for reals
@fluffy you may want to check your actual daylight hours on Wolfram alpha or similar, then... ;-)
@artsyhonker meh okay 8.5 hours astronomically speaking but much of it isn’t what I’d call usable
@fluffy I mean, I was in Aberdeen (Scotland) yesterday and there were definitely more than six hours. So ~6 for Seattle sounds off.
It's grim, though, if it does affect you. I use a lightbox, which helps, and more and more I am scheduling my work so that I am more active in summer and can hibernate in winter.
@artsyhonker it’s not the dead of winter yet.
@fluffy Indeed not. And in fairness I will be avoiding Aberdeen entirely in the darkest 6 weeks. But I get to choose that much, at least.
@fluffy yeah... witht the sun so far south, it gets close to the horizon quickly. :/
A silly instance of Mastodon for queer folk and non-queer folk alike. Let's be friends!
