i think back towards its initial release i was thinking about what homestuck titles would best fit the undertale cast. i don't remember what i came up with but also im almost assuredly not the first person to try so im gonna do it again now
first things first: sans is a bard. i don't know the aspect (maybe time?) but You Can't Change My Mind
frisk is a heart player. alphys is probably a light player, specifically one who doesn't really embrace her role. undyne might be a blood player? toriel is either a sylph or a life player but for some reason i feel rather strongly that she is not a sylph of life. chara is a doom player and asriel is a hope player.
reading through the extended zodiac aspect descriptions to see what i can glean from them and. one might assume that gaster is a void player in the same way that one might assume that asriel is a prince but both of these are Wrong and gaster is actually either a space player or a mind player. i was also hesitantly leaning towards having papyrus as a breath player but now im firm in this.
(also i understand rage better than i did last night, and its second opposite is blood)
on homestuck classes
i think i just generally don't get classes as well as i can wrap my head around aspects, hence why there's so few of those going on here ;0 we know about the active (selfish)/passive (selfless) dynamic. we've got a base definition of the thief/rogue and prince/bard pairs. we know that the lord/muse pair Exists and is a special case. we've got some associated factors to a handful (sylphs are often healers, pages often have Untapped Potential). that's about all that's Solid?
in other news, while doing Research i saw a link to an interview with andrew hussie and here is a direct quote (with minor formatting edits)
interviewer: With Homestuck taking up such a big part of your life, what was it like when you finally finished it?
ah: Nice try. You almost tricked me into validating the premise of your question. The ride never ends.
@princess_azzy @email@example.com what i will say about homestuck is: there is nothing else out there that can truly compare to it, and i think that plus the massive time investment reading it entails (among other factors) means i don't know anyone whos read it who doesn't have *strong* emotions about it, one way or another. i certainly fall on the "enjoyment" side of this but i also tend to be pretty biased in favor of works i have kintypes from ;0
@princess_azzy @firstname.lastname@example.org also Toby Fox is on the music team, i remember hearing that he made undertale working out of the author's basement sdfsdfsdf
A silly instance of Mastodon for queer folk and non-queer folk alike. Let's be friends!
