As a multiply marginalised middle age person that finds lots of barriers to establishing bonds with people, I find this article really validating, and I wish this was discussed inside queer spaces more often. This idea now is mostly expressed by the aro community, but amatonormativity is a key facet of allocishet capitalist normativity and deconstructing it allows all of us to better support ourselves and keep all of us alive and thriving.
Although I don't like valentines or overly romantic stuff, I'll use it for a friendly reminder: I'm single and open to meet nice queer people for possible partnership.
I'm pansexual, polyam, late 30's and good availability for travelling worldwide / spending long times abroad / maybe even relocate depending on the relationship. After some needed time alone, I feel ready to be in commited relationships again.
If you want to know me better, let's talk and be friends and see what happens.
NSFW talk (just general info) Show more
Just to let people know, I'm open to receive proposals for sexting, cam or irl encounters (although I may be a bit far, but if things align...) from people over 25, of any gender, and I'm also open to get to know people for dating.
You don't make me uncomfortable. If you like what you see on a NSFW pic and want some action, let me know. Mastodon is full of beautiful queers and is very likely I'll say yes.
trans stuff, packing advice needed Show more
I just bought my first pair of skinny jeans since transitioning, and I need some packing advice to secure passing. I'm trying with a thin sock, I don't have a packet yet. I need opinions from both trans people and cis men to know if it looks natural or how much volume is needed.
10 Principles of Healing from Trauma Show more
1. Your trauma was your experience, it happened to you, it didn't happen to someone else.
2. Other people are there to listen.
3. You are a sane human being who has lived through insane circumstances.
4. Your thoughts about what happened do not have to form a singular linear narrative.
5. Your feelings do not have to be consistent about it.
6. You can't turn back time.
7. Your creativity is an ally in this.
8. If you need someone else's opinion and feel like you might benefit from it, ask for it.
9. You lead the way and do what you feel is right.
10. Although you may have had a particularly difficult experience, you can learn so much from it.
I usually sleep with some soft ambient music on the laptop. When I forget to close it so my cat can't sit on the keyboard, next morning I find things like folders created on desktop, searches of keysmash on the music player, once she even deleted a whole playlist on accident.
One day I'll wake up to all my files deleted, my bank account emptied and an email postcard sent by her from one of those cat islands in Japan where she'd had run away with all my money to spend on gourmet cat food.
Doubting and hating yourself for being nonbinary is the result of being injured by liars and cowards.
Those cowards have been wrong about everything else thus far (their misogyny, cissexism, heteronormativity, etc. for example).
So, the reasonable thing to do is to stop listening to them any further.
Work on loving yourself instead like you deserve.
i'm such in need for money and i rly fucking hate having to beg for it
but fuck it if you see this feel free to send me something if you can and want
i'd greatly appreciate and that would really really help me like making me able to buy actual food
maybe i'll do a more "official" post later but for now if you wanna help and/or boost that'd be awesome i really love you
black hole sincere posting Show more
i love black holes, i love their embodiment of the duality of creation/destruction, i love the knowledge that the entire universe was born from the same singularity and that reality as we know it is one big ongoing explosion, i love that in some places things are coming together rather than falling apart, that nothing is lost and eventually maybe it will all come together and then everything can start over

All jokes aside I don’t have any money or a job and still have bills to pay n need money for food/personal hygiene so if you want to I would really appreciate it. I can already see I’ll be short on my bills so really anything would be awesome.
this multiply disabled student/speaker/creator is doing a campaign to raise money to afford a wheelchair; we all know that the us health system is real shitty at accessibility, and there's no way for one person to afford all of those expenses on their own! if you're able to, it'd be really cool to help him get the freedom to get himself where he needs to be!
Hey! I’ve set up a gofundme to rise money for top surgery! My quality of life is vastly hindered by my chest and I’d be so so thankful for all the help I can get. Even £1 makes all the difference. Thank you 💕

mh-, suicidal ideation, an article Show more
found it comforting to read this thing about a feeling i've never been able to articulate very well and haven't seen expressed like this before. maybe someone else will too idk. been thinking about it a lot.

i've known several definitely-not-rich people who seemed otherwise sorta woke but who would never ever interact with a homeless person. fucked up imo

if you think homeless people are gross you're never allowed to talk about ending capitalism or "eating the rich" ever again
