Please, if you listen to nothing else I say, listen to this: Talk to your depressed friends. Don't be afraid to reach out to them. Don't expect them to have the energy and presence of mind to reach out to the people they need to.
Reach out to them and try whatever you can to slow, stop, or counteract their spiral. Because if you leave them alone, they will not fix themself.
folks are giving tucker carlson credit for criticizing amazon and walmart and stuff. why? far-right nationalist twats have a long history of appropriating our critiques for the purpose of gaining power.
as the great anarchist philosopher dril once said, "you do not, under any circumstances, "'gotta hand it to them'"

Fuck this guy. (This guy is the casting director on the 'Suspiria' remake and also on 'Carol') (Also Do not fuck this guy.)
Destroying racism will destroy whiteness, and as long as people cling to whiteness as a caste identity, racism will persist.
And, to be blunt, if you're, like me, a tiny working class creature, then be aware that whiteness was literally created whole cloth in order to subjugate and control you.
It destroys cultures, languages, communities, solidarity, all in exchange for a series of social and psychic wages that won't pay your rent.
Whiteness will not save white working people.
@KitsuneAlicia In addition to those, there was the lawification of the 'one-drop rule', which said that one non-white person in your ancestry makes you 'not white'. This was used to keep people with a great-great-grandparent who was African/Native American etc. from gaining the same privileges as white people.
That law is gone now, but its idea of whiteness as being something pure and easily diluted has remained. Thus, conspiracy theories like 'white genocide'.
Reminder: 'whiteness' is a socio-political construct. It's not genetic; technically it's not even based on skin color; and most importantly, its definition has been legally changed to suit the government's needs at least once (and those needs were "we don't want these people to be considered white anymore or they'll get treated too well").
It's all a scam.
Hey stylish dragons!
If you have spare money that you'd like to use to help me pay the bills for this place, I finally got around to putting up a Patreon. Your support is appreciated but by no means required. 💘
[New page] Nonbinary 101: a small page containing a summary of what does "nonbinary" mean and how to support NB people. It also contains some quicklinks so that entering the wiki is easier: https://nonbinary.wiki/wiki/Nonbinary_101
This is the first step on a project we are working on... more information coming soon! 🔜
